In this expanded role, Dan will focus on driving growth in the domestic and international intermodal space and will be responsible for all components of CN`s international and domestic portfolio, including CN`s regional sales, marketing, brokerage and global freight forwarding services. Mulligan, Nober`s successor as general counsel, is a former Steptoe & Johnson employee who joined BNSF in 2007. She was promoted to several teams in the following years and worked for the company in Fort Worth and Chicago. Mulligan will officially assume Nober`s legal role at BNSF on January 1. Nober, who advised BNSF on the $44 billion sale to Berkshire, is a former partner at Steptoe & Johnson in Washington. He served as chairman of the U.S. Surface Transportation Board for four years which ended in 2006. Nober was responsible for all legal and regulatory, environmental, communication, compliance and public affairs matters at BNSF.
