Earlier this year, Microsoft announced the end of support for its Windows 7 operating system starting January 14, 2020. This essentially means that Microsoft will no longer provide technical support, software updates, and security updates for Windows 7. Vivado Lab Edition is a compact, stand-alone product for use in laboratory environments. It allows logic/serial I/O programming and debugging of all devices supported by Vivado. Lab Edition does not require an activation license certificate or key. Vivado Hardware Server allows Vivado® Design Tools to communicate with a remote target system. Version 2019.2 of Vivado, Vitis, Model Composer & System Generator, will be the last version to support Windows 7. Starting with version 2020.1, Xilinx will no longer support Windows 7. Use this option to install the full image on the network drive or to give different users maximum installation flexibility. Xilinx Unified Web Installer accepts your credentials and allows you to select the edition, device families, and tool components (SDK or DocNav). It will then automatically download only your selection and install it on your local computer.
