Jim`s legal experience is largely as in-house legal counsel to commercial organisations (such as Price Waterhouse Coopers) and authorities in Australian and English jurisdictions. Prior to joining the University of Law, Jim was a Module Leader in Law and a Senior Lecturer in Law and a Tutor for King`s Foundations, the Academic Preparation Department at King`s College London, for 7 years. Jim holds a degree in Applied Linguistics and Pedagogy from the University of Cambridge, a Postgraduate Diploma in Dramaturgy from the National Institute of Dramatic Arts in Sydney and a Master`s degree in Constitutional, Political and Practical Law from Birkbeck, University of London. Shireen earned a first-class Bachelor of Laws degree and received the drapers` Company Award for Academic Excellence. She studied CAP at ULaw Bloomsbury before training as a lawyer with Rochman Landau. Shireen specialized in mergers and acquisitions until she moved on to legal education. She joined the University of Law in 2008 and has extensive teaching experience in LPC`s Law and Business Practice and Bank and Debt Finance modules.
Shireen is the instructor of the January LPC Start program. Where external advice is required, we use our extensive experience working in the legal sector to ensure that the project receives the best value for the required legal advice. Our role is not limited to identifying experienced lawyers and soliciting fee proposals for approval by the project team. We will also manage all aspects of the relationship with external consultants, coordinate advice and ensure that external consultants receive full instructions. Nadia studied law at Brunel University as part of her four-year program, which required her to work in a law firm for a year, which gave her a first legal experience. She holds an LLB (Hons) and an LPC distinction from the College of Law (now ULaw). She trained at GSC Solicitors, a law firm based in the City of London, and qualified in 2005. Timothy holds an LLB from Kings College London. He studied LPC at ULaw and qualified as a lawyer at Withers, where he worked in alternative investment market exchanges until he moved on to legal training. Timothy teaches ethics and practice of professional law and European law at GDL as well as business law, competition law and intellectual property law at the LPC. He is Head of Module in Ethics and Professional Legal Practice and a member of the Academy of Higher Education. Andrew is currently the Program and Student Director for the PLC. Andrew holds a Master`s degree (Hons) in French and Spanish from the University of Cambridge (Clare College). After graduation, he studied GDL and LPC at ULaw. Andrew was trained and qualified at Walker Morris in Leeds, where he specialised in labour law.
