A person exercising parental responsibility may not delegate his responsibility to another person. Parental responsibility may be shared, but not fully transferred, with another person. By asking the court for one of the above orders, you can establish a legal obligation to return your child and take important steps to ensure that child abduction never happens again. Parental responsibility is the legal term for the rights and obligations that parents have for their children. This means that you are responsible for ensuring that the child is cared for and for protecting and maintaining the child. It also means that you are responsible for choosing which schools they attend, getting the right medical treatment, the child`s name, and discipline. Parental responsibility ends when the child reaches the age of 18. He has reached the age of life. Once you have parental responsibility, it must be exercised appropriately and jointly with the child`s mother or another person with parental responsibility. All mothers and most fathers have legal rights and duties as parents – known as «parental responsibility». Parental responsibility refers to the rights, duties, powers, responsibilities and legal powers that a parent has over a child and his or her property. A person who has parental responsibility for a child has the right to make decisions concerning the child`s care and upbringing.
Important decisions in a child`s life must be coordinated with all other persons who have parental responsibility. If the parents cannot agree on whether the other parent or step-parent should have parental responsibility, the parent or step-parent can ask the court for an order. If the other parent of a child has parental responsibility and does not agree that the step-parent should also have parental responsibility, the step-parent can apply for a court order. The appointment may be made in writing, provided it is signed and dated, or in a will. You don`t always need to get the other parent`s consent for day-to-day decisions, even if they also have parental responsibility. Each parent can appoint a guardian, but the guardian is not appointed until both parents have died with parental responsibility. If your child does not have a relationship with their other parent, or if you think someone else would be better placed to care for your child, make your wishes known in a will or other document. The person you appoint will not be appointed guardian because your child`s other parent has parental responsibility, but this may be taken into account if a court is to be involved.
